Who we are

Cars Iceland was founded over a decade ago, in 2013. Two close friends in love with the Icelandic way of life, nature and wildlife, decided that they wanted as many people as possible to discover the wonders that Iceland has to offer.

They put together a team of car rental experts to serve as the backbone of their local, family-run car rental business, and have been growing and making the dreams of travelers from all over the world come true ever since.

Nowadays, the Cars Iceland team is more excited about the future than ever, and continues to preserve the essence of the small team of yonder that lit the first spark!

Our philosophy

Ever since we opened shop back in 2013 we decided that we would never stray from our core values:

Honesty

Our customers mean the world to us and we want them to have clarity about every single cost and payment they need to make. The prices we display during the online booking process include everything, and that’s final!

Quality

Traveling to Iceland is, many times, a bucket-list journey that only happens once! That’s exactly why we conduct thorough quality checks and have a top-notch customer service team to ensure that everything is picture-perfect. Why solve an issue if you can completely avoid it?

Familiarity

Every one of our customers has different needs and priorities for their adventure to Iceland. We strive to make every customer feel as if they are our only customer, helping them with anything they might need and tailoring their whole rental experience to them.
